FATOSIN are high expansion synthetic fire fighting foam concentrates produced carefully controlled blend of high activity selective synthetic surface active foaming agents, solvents and stabilizers for class A and B fires. It produces highly fluid foam able to cover large areas quickly even in the presence of obstacles. FATOSIN can be used to produce foam with expansion ratios ranging from 50:1 to 1000:1 depending upon the type of generator and its operating pressure.

DESCRIPTION

FATOSIN are high expansion synthetic fire fighting foam concentrates produced carefully controlled blend of high activity selective synthetic surface active foaming agents, solvents and stabilizers for class A and B fires. It produces highly fluid foam able to cover large areas quickly even in the presence of obstacles. FATOSIN can be used to produce foam with expansion ratios ranging from 50:1 to 1000:1 depending upon the type of generator and its operating pressure.

APPLICATIONS

FATOSIN in HI-EX generators can be used for total flooding of large areas. It is most suitables for protection of warehouses hangars and ships holds. Used with medium expansion generator, it find its most appropriate application in protection of machinery rooms, pump locals, spill fires.

FATOSIN can also be used as a wetting agent in combating fires in Class A materials such as paper, wood, tires. It is most suitable for simultaneous use with compatible powders in twin-agents or extinguishers.

FATOSIN is principally recommended for protection agaings fire in :

  • Galleries and Industrial
  • Hangars, chemical product storage warehouses
  • Aircraft Hangars
  • LNG and LPG plants
  • Record Locals, Machinery spaces
  • Marine terminals and vessels

EQUIPMENT

FATOSIN is suitable for use in combination with :

Soft or hard, fresh or sea water.

Dry powder extinguishing agents either separately or as twin agent systems.

FATOSIN properties do not change in case of frost. It recovers its initial properties as soon as it is defrosted.

FATOSIN can be used with air aspirating discharge devices such as low expansion branchpipes, monitors, foam/water sprinkler, medium expansion foam equipments and high expansion generators.

When used with high expansion generators,

FATOSIN is capable of totally flooding large rooms and enclosures allowing it to effectively extinguish horizontal and vertical (three-dimensional) fires. High expansion foam is also effective in reducing vapour concentrations downwind from hazardous low boiling point gases such as ammonia spills.

When used with medium expansion foam equipment, FATOSIN forms a foam blanket which prevents the release of fuel vapour and also provides additional cooling due to the higher water content. Medium expansion foam has benefits in outdoor applications because the foam is less affected by wind conditions.
