Class F Restaurant Fire Extinguishing Fluids (Davex)
Class F fire extinguishing fluid (DAVEX) is a specially formulated aqueous organic salt solution. It is highly effective in fires caused by restaurant ventilation equipment, hoods, various cooking appliances, cooking oils such as fryers, grills, stoves. Class A and B fire foams are effective on solid or liquid fires. However, these fire foams are insufficient in solid or oil fires. In these oil fires, Class F Restaurant Fire Extinguishing Liquid (Davex) should be used.
Class F fire extinguishing fluid must be available in dining halls and restaurant kitchens according to fire regulations.
